No-Bake Maple Peanut Butter Rice Krispies

No-Bake Maple Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Bars

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups brown rice crisp cereal

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts

  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1 tsp maple extract, optional but yummy! Sub vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Line an 8X8 baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.

  3. In a microwave safe bowl, combine peanut butter and maple syrup and microwave for 20-30 seconds. Whisk in extract. Add to dry ingredients and stir until well combined.

  4. Add to prepared baking dish. Using another piece of parchment paper, use some elbow grease to press the mixture down into the dish spreading out evenly into the corners. Freeze for at least 1 hour then cut into 2” squares. Makes roughly 16 squares.
